Home : Information : About Us
This site exists as a source of information for the growing community of Australian owners, operators, maintainers and pilots of Daher (Socata) TB9 (Tampica), TB10/200 (Tobago) & TB20/21 (Trinidad) aircraft.
Daher (Socata) aircraft have always been popular and enjoyed a strong following by flying schools, business operators and private owners in Australia (a testament to this is the growing number of aircraft being imported into Australia).
Daher (Socata) aircraft are strongly supported by the factory in France and spare parts availability is excellent. Australian's in particular are fortunate to be able to order parts through two primary channels ensuring parts availability within a few days.
This site does not have online forum because the existing online forum at www.socata.org provides an outstanding resource for this already. Rather the purpose of this website is to share information specific to Australian owners, operators, maintainers and pilots. The intent is to complement socata.org, not compete. Things the site may evolve to include are:
The site should be seen to have no owner, but rather as belonging to the Australian TB community and as such will evolve and grow in line with the communitys desire and needs.
As the site evolves enquiries or suggestions can submitted via the contact page
Feedback and suggestions are warmly received.
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air....
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace.
Where never lark, or even eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
- Put out my hand, and touched the face of God."
John Gillespie Magee Jr.
